In a ghastly incident of abuse of child rights, a three-and-half-year-old girl of a pre-school in Bangalore was allegedly made to strip and sit on a bench by the principal as a punishment in front of her class room. The principal of the school awarded this punishment to the girl as she had unmindfully and playfully bit her classmate.  The incident occurred on Monday but came to the notice of media men Tuesday evening.

The devastated parents of the girl, unable to bear the humiliation meted out to their innocent daughter, told media persons that they had lodged a complaint to the Karnataka Commission of Protection of Child Rights.
 The commission called the school owner Chowda Reddy, principal Vasuma and the girl’s class teacher Jhansi and questioned them but they innocently denied the incident.

The worried parents said their daughter returned home terrified and was refusing to go to school again.
