
AIADMK chief Jayalalitha has declared that she held properties, both movable and immovable, worth Rs. 51 Cr.
In the affidavit filed today along with her nomination papers before the retuning officer of Srirangam constituency for the April 13 Tamil Nadu assembly elections, Jayalalitha said she had movable assets worth Rs 13.03 Cr and immovable assets worth Rs. 38.37 Cr.
The immovable assets included 14.5 acres of grape gardens in AP and shares worth Rs.1 Cr in a tea estate in Kodanad in Nilgiri district. She said she also had five cars. “I don’t have any debts and I am not in a position to declare value of my jewellery as they are in court,” she said in the affidavit.
Jayalalitha has been facing nine cases against her and three of them are related with economic offences.
